Tyler DeGagneis a third-generation builder who started on the tools in 1996. A decade on construction sites for premiere multifamily developers in Calgary and Vancouver, then fifteen years restoring, troubleshooting, and rebuilding multifamily and commercial properties in Edmonton — as contractor, developer, owner’s representative, and asset manager.
That range is the point. The group’s advice is grounded in having carried every side of a project: the trade’s, the contractor’s, the consultant’s — and, on our own developments, the owner’s.
We didn’t theorize the problem we solve; we lived it. Critical building knowledge is fragmented, buried, and easily lost — during construction and long after. BUILDiQ and FIXiQ are the practices we built to solve it, now offered to owners, boards, and operators who face the same thing.
The group carries the heritage of Lionsgate Builders — a working Edmonton general contractor — into two practices: BUILDiQ, the owner’s-representative consulting division, and FIXiQ, which applies the same discipline to property operations.
